Professionally, I have been looking at social determinants of health, observed the blurring lines of work and family spheres, asked questions about women’s and men’s gender roles and suggested solutions for policy and practice. I am a founder of the feminist project frauensalon.org and run a business supporting women in their postpartum period.
With expertise in work and family reconciliation and Vereinbarkeit von Familie und Beruf, I train general, business health, and diversity managers. I create awareness for reconciliation problems, show the impact on employees' health and sick days and offer a range of measures for creating a family-friendly work environment.
I am a freelance public health researcher. I have spent the majority of my professional life thinking about and researching the intersection of work and family life and health-related consequences thereof. I also advocated for women's health, health at every size and postpartum health.
FRAUEN*SALON is a bi-monthly event in Berlin and online. The small gatherings feature a distinct topic each and aim at bringing together women from various backgrounds for inspiration, discussion and networking.
